Watch the video featuring these dinosaurs on St Annes beach, just south of Blackpool! |
There are a number of great vloggers on the Fylde coast covering Blackpool, Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Lytham St Annes. Here are some of the channels to have a look at on YouTube. To each their own, some vloggers you'll get on with, others maybe not so much.
1. A Walk on the Wild Side
Vlogger Stephen Cheatley is behind this very active YouTube vlog. Stephen does incidental videos of the Blackpool area and sometimes goes out live.
The first video on the channel is not local, it's actually from Las Vegas on 17 Sept 2006. The first local-ish video seems to be of a rainbow at Wrea Green on 16 Sept 2010. It's not until 2016 that more local video appears, First Flight DJI Phantom Pro Marton Blackpool, and Layton High Rise Flats Blackpool Demolition — that one is amazing, do watch as three tower blocks are blown away in an instance!
YouTube Channel: Walk On The Wild Side 48.8k subscribers as of 8 Oct 2023.
Stephen's 2nd Channel is: Starman 6.47k subscribers as of 8 Oct 2023.

2. Visit Fylde Coast
This northern lass, Jane, is a vlogger who originally hails from South Yorkshire and who now finds herself in Cleveleys. Her recent history is that she makes several 10-12 minute long videos on one day a week, then uploads them gradually over the course of the coming week. As well as walk-about or sit-down cakes on Live videos, there's also Brew at Two (BAT) on some Tuesday afternoons. The first video appearing on the YT channel is dated 3 November 2013. Called “Storm Clearing” and is 38 seconds long. Taking in destinations from Fleetwood to St Annes, you'll find a good range of places covered along with colloquial chatter from Jane.

YouTube Channel: Seaside 4.81K subscribers as of 8 Oct 2023.
5. Old Blackpool Biker
Channel is not recommended unless you want to develop a headache. Vlogger hides behind the camera, swings it this way and that way or walks along with the camera going up and down. Too much of this channel and a headache will slowly creep up on you. First and many videos taken on or near 'Promenade' to the north of North Pier, Blackpool, as the vlogger emerges onto sea-front from Pleasant Street. Liable to show you the current weather along with relatively poorly informed banter. First video on channel 6 Nov 2020.
YouTube Channel: Old Blackpool Biker 5.78K subscribers as of 8 Jan 2023.
6. Blackpool and Beyond
'Mark' is the young vlogger behind the camera this time. His videos are very much fly-on-the-wall walk-arounds with very little talk if any. First video on the channel 7 Mar 2021.
YouTube Channel: Blackpool and Beyond 3.02k subscribers as of 10 Sep2023.
7. Caroline James Vlogs Blackpool

YouTube Channel: Caroline James Vlogs Blackpool 2.71k subscribers as 10 Sep 2023.
8. Mark McNeill
Music and great high-quality photography from the Fylde Coast from Mark. Drone cameras feature a lot on these atmospheric videos which are mainly based near Lytham and south of the Fylde. Really ought to have a few more subscribers than this. Channel has videos going back to 2016.
YouTube Channel: Mark McNeill 1.19k subscribers as of 10 Sep 2023.

Footnote. Helen's Crowd and Loud
A lively voiceover and brisk walks mainly about Blackpool seafront. Channel included 'Fish and Chip Friday' where vlogger Leroy checks out random fish and chip shops and then proceeds to eat it with the camera rolling and give his verdict. He was online almost daily walking about and giving a brash take on life in the 'Pool. This channel really got going during the COVID-19 lockdown in May 2020.
YouTube Channel: Helen's Loud and Crowd 11.8K subscribers as of 10 Sep 2023.
Channel removed apparently due to a threat and was taken off YouTube in about February 2022.
