Tree Saplings Go in around Cleveleys Car Parks

Care for Cleveleys volunteers dig holes beside Derby Road, Cleveleys

Due to an incident involving a private delivery vehicle, the trees arrived later than planned. Nevertheless, Wyre Council stepped in with alternative transport and the saplings were planted by mid-afternoon.

Things to consider:

1. who will be responsible for clearing away fallen leaves before they clog the drains or become a mulchy slip hazard?
2. who will be liable if, in 30 years, a high wind blows down a tree and damages a car in the car park?
3. who will maintain the footpath when tree roots have become a trip hazard or obstacle to wheelchairs?

Perhaps there's still time to replace the saplings with a hedge?
