Abana
This Canadian built ship flying the Norwegian flag, and three weeks out of Liverpool, floundered off the coast during 100-130mph winds (newspaper report) at Blackpool and drifted unmanageably towards Norbreck where it came aground on sandbanks at Little Bispham on 22 December 1894. Wikipedia entry. At low tide the remains of the wreck of the Abana can still be seen.My photographs 29 May 2022
